I made some tasty recipes this year, and quite a few of them ended up here on the blog. I discovered the wonder of cold brewing, and I finally bought myself an Instant Pot! These delicious dishes (and drinks!) are my top ten recipes of 2017.
EASY COLD BREW COFFEE: I had always avoided cold brew coffee at home because of the hassle of straining the coffee, yada yada yada. This simple mason jar set up allows me to make the delicious cold brew without the fuss or the mess.
RASPBERRY PROSECCO SORBET: This fancy-looking dessert looks so impressive and tastes amazing. Your dinner guests will never know how easy it is to make!
LIGHTENED UP CARROT CAKE TRIFLE: As much as I love chocolate, carrot cake is my favorite cake. This trifle version uses healthier ingredients for a lightened up take on the original.
LAYERED BERRY SMOOTHIE: My kids loved these smoothies, and I loved that they were getting extra protein.
EXTREME TOFFEE CRACK CANDY: I didn’t meet my goal of making a new version of Christmas Crack candy every month, but I did make several delicious new kinds. I think my favorite of all was the extreme toffee version!
INSTANT POT CINNAMON APPLESAUCE: One of the first things I made in my new Instant Pot, this cinnamon applesauce takes only minutes to make.
EASY TRES LECHE CAKE: I used a bit of help from the store to make this super easy tres leche cake.
SIMPLE PUMPKIN CREAM PIE: This pumpkin spice cream pie is so tasty, especially since the crust is made from pumpkin spice Cheerios!
3 MASON JAR INFUSED WATER RECIPES: In an attempt to drink more water this year, I tried out a few tasty fruit-infused water recipes.
UNICORN SANGRIA: Unicorns kind of took over 2017, so my sangria tribute to these mythical creatures might be my favorite recipe of the year.
