When I was growing up, my mom and I used LorAnn Oils to make hard candy at Christmas, which we would then give as gifts (my grandpa especially loved to keep a big jar on his desk). It’s only been in the last few years that I learned there are so many more uses for their oils than just hard candy. Then when I learned they were a Michigan-based company, I got even more excited. LorAnn does make essential oils as well, but this round-up features ways to use LorAnn’s Super Strength Flavors. Just look at all the ways to use LorAnn oils!
11+ WAYS TO USE LORANN OILS
If you are interested in trying some of these fun DIYs, you can find LorAnn Oils in the baking section of your grocery store. I like to buy mine from Amazon (affiliate link) because they have a huge selection of flavors and you can choose whatever combination of flavors you want. I have ordered from them three times now, and they are really great. If you try out any of these ideas, please share on social media and tag me. I’d love to see!
CANDIES MADE WITH LORANN OILS
LorAnn Oil is mostly frequently associated with general candy making. The concentrated taste of the flavoring extracts can add delicious flavor to a wide range of candy. These are just a few examples of the confections you can make with LorAnn Oils.
OTHER RECIPES THAT USE CANDY OIL
Candy is not the only food you can flavor with LorAnn candy oils, extracts, or bakery emulsions. You can add a burst of flavor to desserts and snacks quickly and easily by adding in a bit of flavored oil.
SPA DIYS SCENTED WITH LORANN FLAVORING OILs
These oils not only taste good, they smell great too! I have used candy oils as one of my secret tricks to making DIY spa products for years! They are much more affordable than natural essential oils. Also, because they come in tiny dram bottles, you can purchase a pack of unique flavors to make spa products in a ton of different scents.

Can I use it for my face oil to add smell
madincrafts says
You definitely can! With any face products, you need to be extra careful that you aren’t going to have any kind of reaction to it. I would do a spot test on your skin in an inconspicuous place before applying it to your face.

I have used their essential oils to make floating oil candles (https://madincrafts.com/easy-mason-jar-citronella-candles/) but I have not tried to mix them with melted wax to make poured candles. If you try it out, let me know how it goes!
Nikki says
Wondering if they can be used with aroma beads
madincrafts says
Their essential oils should work, but I am not sure the candy flavoring oils would.
Kay says
Can I mix the oils with melted chocolate?
madincrafts says
It can be added in if it has been properly tempered. If you add it into chocolate that has just been melted, it might cause the chocolate to seize up.
