Thank you again for another fantastic year of creativity! I first started Mad in Crafts in October of 2009 as a way to share the projects I was doing around the house. It is because of you that I have been able to make this blog my job for TEN YEARS NOW! Even I have a hard time wrapping my head around that fact. Lots of things have changed since those early days of blogging, I hope for the better. Here are my picks for the Mad in Crafts top 10 of 2019.
MAD IN CRAFTS TOP 10 OF 2019
GEOMETRIC BUTTERFLY EMBELLISHMENTS
I have used Liquid Sculpey and silicone molds to make other projects in the past. I experimented with coloring the liquid clay with alcohol inks to make these pretty embellishments.
PAINTED NARWHAL MASON JAR
Sometimes projects turn out just the way I pictured them in my head. I was so pleased with how this cutie turned out!
PAPER SUCCULENT ARRANGEMENT
I have been pretty honest over the years at how bad I am at keeping houseplants alive. I used my Cricut Maker to create this pretty arrangement of succulents made with cardstock so even I can’t kill them!
DIY DRAGONS EGGS
I shared several Game of Thrones crafts in advance of the series finale last spring. These dragon eggs were the most fun to make!
SPRING BIRDHOUSE WREATH
My friends a Plaid challenged me to make a Spring craft using materials from a mystery box. After some brainstorming and some work, I came up with this cute birdhouse wreath!
BOTTOMS UP NEON KOOZIES
Did you know that you can use iron-on vinyl on koozies? This opens up a huge range of possibilities for personalization. I love these neon koozies I made for summer drinkes.
RAINBOW PINEAPPLE STRING LIGHTS
I transformed a string of inexpensive string lights by creating some candy-colored pineapples with a dollar store silicone mold. This is a great beginner resin project if you’ve been wanting to try out a new medium.
MARBLED RESIN STATE SIGN
Marbling resin is easy and gives you such great results! I used a pre-made state cut out and poured over several colors of resin to make this gorgeous piece of wall art!
METALLIC FALL LEAF WREATH
I tried out a new metallic paint to create this stunning fall wreath. Save the leaves you pull off of floral stems because they are perfect for projects like this!
GOOD NEWS, I SAW A DOG SVG FILE
Elf is one of my favorite Christmas movies of all time, so I was thrilled to join up with several other creative bloggers to share this free SVG file with you this year. It was a fan favorite this year as well!
