Late last year I learned about Liquid Sculpey and all the fun things you can make with it. I made some adorable snowflake ornaments using a thin silicone mold. It turns out Sculpey makes another mold that allows you to make delicate butterflies. You can make these geometric butterfly embellishments for your craft projects using alcohol ink and Liquid Sculpey.
Watch this video to see my experiments in coloring the Liquid Sculpey with alcohol ink to create these colorful butterflies. I publish two new videos each week, so hop over and subscribe to my YouTube channel. It’s free!
The finished butterflies are intricate, colorful, and so sweet! The larger size butterflies are about 1 1/2″ by 1 1/4″. The smaller size is less than an inch wide.
Here are all of my finished butterflies. Even though my first batch bubbled a little on the back, you cannot tell when the embellishments are turned right side up.
You can use these little butterflies for cardmaking, home decor, jewelry, and more! Now that you can color the liquid clay any color in the rainbow, the possibilities are endless!
