I know I am late to the party, but I just discovered the wonders of cold brew coffee last year. You get all the smooth, rich taste of coffee without any of the stomach irritation of regular drip coffee. For awhile, I thought I could only get cold brew coffee from a coffee shop, but a little bit of research showed me that it isn’t too hard to make at home. When I found a few mason jar products meant for making cold brew coffee, I was so excited to make my first batch at home.
This simple technique uses a half gallon mason jar, so it was perfect for Spring Jars Week. I will link to Angie’s, Malia’s, and Stephanie’s new tutorials at the bottom of this post, so be sure to pay them a visit!
When you make homemade cold brew coffee using this method, you need a few special supplies. This method allows you to make the coffee without straining it or moving it from one container to another. So easy!

I like to drink my cold brew over ice with a bit of cream and vanilla, but you can also mix up 2 parts cold brew to 1 part water and then heat it in the microwave for a strong cup of hot black coffee. Do you think you will be trying to make your own cold brew at home?
