I feel like it’s such a dad thing to point out constellations to their kids and to teach them when and where to find them in the night sky. Orion and the Big Dipper were always the easiest constellations for me to remember. I thought it would be adorable to make a set of Big and Little Dipper designs for dad and baby. My free designs this month are these cute father son SVG files.

MAKE COORDINATING GIFTS FOR FATHER’S DAY
When you sign up for this month’s free SVGs you will gain access to a folder containing three files: the Big Dipper file, the Little Dipper file, and an SVG where the two designs are combined into one. The SVG files work with Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Designer Edition, Brother ScanNCut2, and other digital cutting machine software that uses the SVG file type.
To make coordinating items for father and child, you will use the Big Dipper file on the adult-sized item. Then use the Little Dipper file for the child’s item. Here are a few ideas for cute coordinating gifts:

- Make matching t-shirts or sweatshirts for parent and child. Cut heat-transfer vinyl and iron it onto blank shirts from the craft store.
- Use the new Hat Press from Cricut to make coordinating hats for dad and his son or daughter.
- Label dad’s and son’s tackle boxes with adhesive vinyl.
- Sublimate a pair of special mugs with the Cricut Mug Press.
OTHER WAYS TO USE THE BIG DIPPER SVG BUNDLE
My designs aren’t just fathers day SVG files. The file with the combined SVG designs can be used to make other DIYs for anyone who loves constellations. I think the design would make for adorable nursery art in a baby’s room. You could also use the combined design on pillows or coffee mugs as well.
Do you like the font that I used in this design? This design uses the Carose font (affiliate link) from Font Bundles. Check out this post to find all of my favorite fonts, as well as links to buy them and links to the SVGs which use them!
