I have created several different Christmas tree designs over the years, but they have always stuck to traditional Christmas colors of red, green, white, gold, and silver. This year I decided to use ALL the colors in this colorful star Christmas tree. Handmade star ornaments mix with a rainbow paper for a tree that was as joyful to make as it is to look at.

I will list the supplies and tools I used for this year’s Christmas bulletin board and tree, in case you would like to duplicate the look yourself. Most of the ornaments are made with standard craft supplies for kids, so you might already have some of them in your house.

“THE STARS IN THE BRIGHT SKY” TREE
My Christmas bulletin board design was based on Away in a Manger, and the tree’s theme comes from that beloved hymn as well. Every student in the school made an ornament for the tree, and the colorful paper chain garland tied the colors of the tree into the colors of the bulletin board. The tree topper was a cheap star from Dollar Tree that I blinged with colorful rhinestones.
