THE BEST 4TH OF JULY COCKTAILS
BOMB POP CHAMPAGNE
You can find some version of Bomb Pops in the frozen treat section of your local grocery store. The brand doesn’t matter as much as the look of the popsicles. The layered colors and fruity flavors are what most important.
Pour the sparkling wine into a tall glass or champagne flute. You can use champagne, prosecco, sparkling wine or sparkling grape juice for a non-alcoholic version of the drink.
Unwrap a Bomb Pop and insert the popsicle right into the bubbly! The popsicle will add fruity flavor and sweetness to the cocktail as it melts and it will keep your drink cold in the hot summer sun.
FROZEN MARGARITA
There is no cocktail better suited for a hot summer’s day than a frozen margarita, and you don’t need a special machine to make them at home. Head to my recipe for homemade frozen margaritas and whip up a batch for your Fourth of July party.
RED, WHITE, AND BLUE SANGRIA
Sangria is a great option for a backyard party since you can make up large batches at a time and let guests serve themselves. This fun red, white, and blue sangria recipe uses fresh summer fruits to add sweetness and color to the wine.
CUBAN BUL COCKTAIL
This beer-based cocktail is incredibly refreshing on a summer’s day. You combine a light Mexican beer and freshly squeezed lime juice to make a cocktail that goes down so easily. You can get the full Cuban Bul recipe here.
CUCUMBER GIN AND TONIC
Add a summery twist to the traditional gin and tonic with cucumber juice. Adding the cucumber not only makes the cocktail more refreshing, it also takes the edge off of the botanical gin flavor. If you are not sure you would like a gin-based cocktail, try my cucumber lime gin and tonic!
SIMPLE BEER MARGARITAS
This super simple margarita recipe has been a favorite of mine for years. Equal parts tequila, lime concentrate, lemon-lime pop, and beer transform into a delicious, and easy, margarita. Make a big pitcher of these beer margaritas for your 4th of July celebrations!
