A few weeks back I shared all the goodies I was able to get with a $50 credit to Consumer Crafts. One of the items I chose was a cute unfinished deer kit. I spent about a half an hour and used a handful of craft supplies to create a rustic wooden reindeer to add to our dining centerpiece. I paired my finished rustic wooden reindeer decoration with a few books and two mini evergreen trees in wooden boxes. I found those trees in Bullseye’s Playground (the Target dollar spot) for cheap. It is a simple arrangement but it makes a nice Christmas centerpiece in our dining room. I focused quite a bit on black, white, green and natural wood tones in our decorations this year. It is a departure from my way of decorating with tons of red and plaid, but I am really enjoying it.
While I kept my reindeer rustic and neutral, you could completely change the final product by changing how you decorate the kit. Use bright paint colors, glitter, scrapbook paper, and more to completely customize this project to match your Christmas decor!
