It’s so painfully obviously that I hate having to model my own wearable crafts. It’s honestly the worst. But what isn’t the worst is the NAVY HOLO VINYL I used to make this holo festival t-shirt. Last year I made a custom tee to wear to a beer festival near my hometown, and it was a hit. I had to up my game this year, going from metallic iron-on vinyl to holographic vinyl. I purchased this vinyl from Expressions Vinyl, and they carry it in a range of colors.

This short video shows my process of cutting and applying the heat transfer vinyl. If you have never used iron-on vinyl before, you should try it! There are just two things to remember: MIRROR your image before you cut it, and let the vinyl cool before peeling back the transfer sheet.
I made several versions of these shirts for some ladies in my family to wear to this year’s beer festival. I won’t lie. I totally geeked out when I came up with the Michigan variation on “hold my beer.” You can obviously use this same process to make festival tees with any design you want. What would your tee say?
