With very minimal painting skills, you can turn a plain Ball mason jar into an adorable PLAY BALL gift jar. Then fill the jar with baseball-themed treats or game tickets and the gift is ready to give! You can also add a specialized jar lid to turn this into a cute piggy bank for a child’s room or remove the lid entirely for use as a flower vase. So I know this post is several years old, but I did these with my kids after ordering the supplies from the links above and I have to ask – is the paint color “Heirloom” right? Because it makes the jars tan, not any shade of white like a baseball.
Yes, I used Heirloom to make the jars look like well-used game balls. If you want a more pure white color, try Everlasting or Lace.
