I am so excited that tie dye has made a comeback. I love the bright colors and organic design of applying dye to manipulated fabrics. Tie dyeing is a fantastic summer craft activity, and it doesn’t have to be difficult or messy! I have gathered up 15 simple tie dye crafts for summer to get your creative juices flowing.

HOW DIFFICULT IS TIE DYE?

If you tie-dyed when you were growing up, you probably remember huge tubs of very hot water, thick gloves, and soda ash. It was a messy and time-consuming process. Today’s tie-dye kits make things so much easier! Pre-portioned powder dye comes in squirt bottles. All you need to do is add water and shake!

The kits below are the ones I always use. They come with gloves and rubber bands which makes the process as easy as can be.

    I tried to watch the video on tinted lipgloss. It just got you started, then there was a commercial & it went to a new project. Then the same thing happened- over & over. Several cool projects but no completion.
