While I am pretty neutral about Valentine’s Day as a holiday, I am gung-ho for chocolate! This week I am going to be sharing some simple chocolate based Valentine’s desserts with you, starting with these pretty brownie bites.
Since I had stocked up on Pillsbury products at Walmart back before my Game Day party spread, I already had the ingredients on hand for some simple, but delicious, Valentine treats.
My littlest valentine and I made the brownies together, by mixing together the ingredients and spooning the batter into a handy mini muffin pan.
After the brownie bites were done, we popped them out of the pan and placed them on a cake stand. Because cake stands make desserts fancier.
Next, I spooned some Pillsbury strawberry frosting into a plastic storage bag, and clipped off one corner of the bag. I used this makeshift piping bag to add some strawberry frosting to each brownie bite.
Finally, we topped each brownie with a fresh strawberry.
TIP: Make sure the berries are totally dry after washing, otherwise they will slip right off the frosting.
If you are handing out these tasty treats, you can package them up in pretty treat boxes. My valentine and I weren’t too keen on sharing though, so we just kept all our brownies here at home.
Be sure to check back this week for more chocolate Valentine’s Day desserts. In the meanwhile, you might like these posts:
