Meatballs are kind of a fallback appetizer for me. Whether we are having people over to our house or bringing an app to a friends’ party, meatballs are a simple way to create a tasty dish. My BBQ crockpot meatballs are kind of tired though. I have made them so many times, that I have almost gotten sick of eating them. I wanted to create a new appetizer that would be as simple, but a bit more exciting. These teriyaki pineapple meatball bites were the way to break my BBQ meatball rut.

I picked up some canned pineapple (fresh would work as well) and toothpicks while I was at the store. I used very thin washi tape to add some colorful flags to the picks, but that step is totally optional.
The Aidells® meatballs are precooked, so you can heat them up using whatever method is most convenient for you: oven, grill, stovetop, or even microwave.
Once the meatballs are heated through, skewer each of them onto a pick with a segment of pineapple. Arrange the appetizer on a platter and serve with a teriyaki dipping sauce.
