Quick School Night Dinner

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf Success® Rice.

Now that the school year is getting under way, your family is likely to be pulled in several different directions every night with practices and homework, meetings and games.  Family dinners could end up being more about what you can grab on the run, than a chance to sit down and eat a hot meal together.  Today I am going to share one of my speedy dinner recipes that can have you around the table in about 15 minutes14878441806_cea000cf91_o

Have you heard of Success Rice’s jasmine and basmati rice?  I had been stuck in a rut of basic, white rice that not only tasted like nothing but still required mess and measuring to cook.

Success® Jasmine Rice is the only boil-in-bag Jasmine rice available. It has a buttery, nutty fragrance, silky, smooth grains and delivers fully cooked rice in 10 minutes.

15 Minute Stir Fry Dinner

Success® Rice has a no mess, boil-in-bag rice that cooks perfectly every time and is ready in 10 minutes. That means there is no measuring or guesswork to make perfect rice each time.  Just toss the bag into a pot of water and boil.

While you can absolutely make your stir fry with fresh vegetables, I generally buy bags of frozen stir fry vegetables.  They cost a bit more, but they ensure I always have the ingredients on hand, and that the veg hasn’t gone bad since my last trip to the store.  I keep the rice and the vegetables on hand almost all the time, so I can throw together this easy stir fry in about 15 minutes.  It’s a life-saver on busy school nights.

Quick School Night Stir Fry Dinner

This is my basic teriyaki-style stir fry sauce that I can make up on the fly.  It is made from ingredients I always have in the house, and which you probably have right now too! This same recipe also makes a really good marinade for chicken and beef too.  If you are brave, you can substitute chili sauce for some of the ketchup to add some heat.
