SNOWGLOBE SURPRISE MONEY-HOLDING GIFT

December 22, 2016 by madincrafts 12 Comments

money-holding-snowglobe-surprise-mason-jar-gift

While giving cash for Christmas is an undeniably practical gift, it is a little boring to just fork over a wad of bills.  This simple DIY allows you to package the money up in a festive way that adds an element of surprise to the present.  See how easy it is to make a snowglobe money-holding gift.

Gifts in a Jar

I’ve been sharing mason jar gift ideas all week with a group of blogging friends of mine.  You will want to check out their blogs as well to see all of their creative ideas.

I began by pouring a little bit of the faux snow into the jar to cover the bottom.

Next I took the cash, rolled it up, and tied it with a piece of baker’s twine.  You could also use this gift to hold a gift card, concert tickets, an engagement ring, whatever!

After you have placed the present in the jar, fill the jar the rest of the way with the faux snow.

I finished off the present by adding more baker’s twine to the lid of the jar.  No one would know by looking at it what fun surprise is waiting inside!

These are all affiliate links, if you make a purchase (of anything on Amazon, not just these items) after clicking through, I will earn a small commission.  Ads and affiliate links are the way I am able to keep this website running and to offer you free tutorials all year long.  Thank you so much for supporting me and Mad in Crafts!

Oh buddy, this is a gift I would LOVE to receive! It’s always so awkward to try and hurry to hide the money. And this way, you can give more money to someone without feeling guilty! Seriously doing this for my family this year!! Thanks so much for the cool idea!
