Spring is officially here, but the weather hasn’t gotten the memo yet. I am looking forward to seeing signs of new life outside again, but until things start blooming I am making do with faux greenery. I put together this simple spring succulent wreath in 15 minutes using faux succulents and a foam wreath form.
I broke out the Year-Round Wreath that I have been using for years now, stripped it of last fall’s embellishments, and gathered up my faux succulents. Some of these are FloraCraft succulents and others are from Dollar Tree.
I started out by de-potting the succulents from Dollar Tree. Then I created a rough layout of where I would put the succulents on the wreath.
I attached the succulents to the wreath with my high temp glue gun. This was the first time that I have used that gun since I burned the bejeezus out of my fingers before Christmas. Those suckers don’t mess around.
I replaced our Winter Pom Wreath with this new wreath. I’m hoping that getting rid of the last of our winter decorations will help urge Spring to get here just a little bit sooner.
The great thing about faux succulents is that they look very real. You have to get pretty close to see that these aren’t in fact live succulents on the wreath.
