For me, the worst part of painting outdoor decor is knowing that I will likely have to repaint it in a year. I have repainted my garden gnome several times already because Michigan summers and winters are no joke. FolkArt’s new outdoor paint claims to have a super durable finish that will hold up outside. I tried it out on a set of dollar store fairy houses I would like to put in a flower bed outside, and I thought I would share my first impressions with you. I was able to get an early look at this new paint line because I am a Plaid Ambassador, but the paint will be available in A.C. Moore and Joann starting this month. This is not a sponsored post, but I did get the paint for free.
I found this set of ceramic fairy houses at Dollar Tree a few months back. Your DT might not have them in stock, but you can use this paint on other wood or ceramic fairy house just as easily.
The colors I used for this project were: Sandy Beach, Light Gray, Gold, Lawn, and Sunny.
Watch this video to hear my full first impressions of this new paint line. I release two new videos on my YouTube channel each week, so if you like creative videos be sure to subscribe!
I think the houses look cute, so I hope the paint does hold up outside. I will check in with the paint after a few months to let you know how they are looking.
