Breakfast always feels rushed at our house, even on days when I don’t have to get the kids ready for school or church. They want to rush through eating to get to playing or I need to make it to the grocery store before it gets too busy or this or that or…. I would love to serve a full warm breakfast (like we sometimes do for breakfast for dinner), but there doesn’t seem to be time.
I was recently given the chance to try out Aunt Jemima’s frozen breakfast foods. The pancake box claims “Every batch made from scratch,” so I immediately flipped the box over to check out the ingredients. I was pleasantly surprised at the very normal, pronounceable ingredients!
I cooked up a few of the super cute confetti pancakes for my kids as a special St. Patty’s Day treat (a day late). They both loved the taste, and I liked seeing them eat a decent breakfast before we had to rush my son off to preschool.
In addition to the full-sized pancakes, the new Aunt Jemima frozen breakfast Lil’ Griddles line has three delicious bite-sized options: Aunt Jemima frozen Blueberry Mini pancakes, Aunt Jemima frozen Mini pancakes, and Aunt Jemima frozen Cinnamon French Toast Sticks.
To make a cute breakfast for your kids, even when you are rushing, just pop two Aunt Jemima confetti pancakes in the toaster or microwave. After they have cooked, cut them in half with a sharp knife and fan them out like the arcs of a rainbow. Spray on two whipped cream clouds and top with a pinch of colorful sprinkles. In less than three minutes your kids can be eating a fun, warm breakfast!
The goal of Aunt Jemima frozen breakfasts is to deliver every batch just like you’d make it yourself, if you had more time. Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day, and, for moms, starting the family out with a warm breakfast makes the entire day more special.
