PRINTABLE SPRING CLEANING CHECKLISTS

April 10, 2019 by madincrafts 4 Comments

Have you made organizing your home a goal this year? Whether you have been inspired by the Marie Kondo series on Netflix or you are getting ready for spring cleaning, warmer weather often brings the urge to purge.  Stay on track with these free printable spring cleaning checklists.

PRINTABLE SPRING CLEANING CHECKLISTS

Printable Decluttering Checklist

The task of decluttering your home can be daunting.  I have created a handy decluttering checklist to give you suggestions for purge-worthy items from multiple areas of your home.  If you work through the process in an organized and efficient way, your home will feel less cluttered and tidy — faster than you might think!

Home Organization Checklist Printable

The home organization printable takes you through the process of organizing each room in your home. If you are super motivated, you can tackle all these rooms in one weekend, but I recommend spacing the tasks out over a few days.  I find that working on one room per day makes the task seem more manageable. If you clean while you organize, you will have a neat and clean home in a week or less!

Tips for Using the Spring Cleaning Checklists

If you are like me, you get sentimentally attached to things and getting rid of them can be hard.  I suggest the three pile technique.  As you tackle each area on the checklist, make three piles: items you want to keep, items you can sell or donate, and items that need to be thrown out. Only the items in the first pile should remain in your home.  Be sure to donate or sell the items in the second pile AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.  As long as they are in your house (or the trunk of your car), they are still cluttering up your life.

While it’s not necessary, I highly recommend a binder or clipboard for these printable checklists. This will not only keep you from losing the checklists mid-purge but it also it another way to keep your papers tidy and organized. Let’s start this organization process off on the right foot!
