MIRACLE GRO® FED FLOWERS: BEFORE & AFTER

May 28, 2015 by madincrafts 1 Comment

MiracleGro Flowers Before and After

Miracle-Gro® sponsored this blog post. The opinions and text are all mine.

I love having pretty flowers on our front porch.  Each year that we have lived in The Mad House, I have planted hanging planters and pots to decorate the front of our house.  I usually can be trusted to grow plants outside, but I am always worried that my black thumb is going to be the death of my lovely flowers.  I have considered buying plant food in the past, but I have no sense of how much to feed the flowers, how often, etc.

Thankfully, this summer, Miracle-Gro® has taken the guesswork out of plant food for me  Yippee!  The new LiquaFeed® Universal Feeder automatically adds plant food to the water in my garden hose, so if I am watering the plants, I am feeding them too.  It completely eliminates the uncertainty of how and when to feed the plants.

Miracle Gro LiquaFeed

The Universal Feeder attaches to my homes hose spigot on the side of my house.  The bottle of liquid plant food snaps into the feeder, and then the hose attaches to the bottom of the contraption.  Once a week, I flip the switch to FEED and fill up my watering can with water that has the perfect amount of food mixed in.  I can hear the liquid food “glub-glubbing” through the hose as I fill the watering can, so I know the food is mixing in properly.

The plants only need the Miracle-Gro® food once every week because it works so well.  If I need to water my flowers other times throughout the week, I flip the switch back to WATER and fill up my watering can with plain water.

Well Fed Flowers

Plants need essential nutrients to reach their fullest potential. The Miracle-Gro® liquid plant food helps plants grow bigger, and more beautiful versus unfed plants.  The Universal Feeder works with All Purpose Plant Food, Miracle-Gro® Bloom Booster Flower Food, or Miracle-Gro® Tomato, Fruit, and Vegetable Plant Food as well.  If you are growing a healthy veggie garden, you could just hook your sprinkler up to the Universal Feeder and feed your garden as you water.

I planted these flowers less than a month ago, and I haven’t been particularly good to them.  Because Michigan is crazy, there were a few nights in May when we were at risk of frost, and I just left them outside to fend for themselves.  I also left on vacation for almost a week without arranging for anyone to water my flowers while I was gone.  Is it any wonder that my plants usually die on me?

Dipladenia before and after

But, look at them!  They are thriving, even under my neglectful care.  Check out these before and after photos – the before is on top, the after is below.  My dipladenia has gotten fuller, taller, and produced more blooms.

Impatiens Before and After

And look at the difference in my impatiens!  The plants have filled out and they are blooming like crazy!  I will keep up with my weekly Miracle-Gro® feedings throughout the summer to help my pretty plants survive the hot weather that is coming our way.  Since all I have to do to keep them looking healthy is to water them, I have confidence that they will look this great all season long.

If it waters, now it feeds with Miracle-Gro® LiquaFeed® Universal Feeder. It’s a great tool to help you reach your gardening goals by providing the essential nutrients your plants need to thrive all season long.
