HOW TO MAKE THIS EASY APPLE CRISP RECIPE
This tasty recipe uses fresh thyme to add a savory flavor to balance the sweetness of the apples. You can omit the thyme if you would like.
Peel your apples and chop them into bite-sized pieces. Toss them with lemon juice in a medium bowl, and then mix the apples with the maple syrup, apple juice, and spices. Place the mixture in an 8″x8″ baking dish.
Top the apples with the crumble mixture made with old-fashioned oats, honey, flour, and almonds.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes before checking on it. If the crumb topping is golden brown, cover the dish with foil and bake for the final 15 minutes. If it is not browned, leave it uncovered for the remaining time.
Let the apple crisp cool for a bit before serving it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
