FRINGED PLAID FLANNEL SCARF TUTORIAL

FRINGED FLANNEL SCARF TUTORIAL - MAD IN CRAFTS

If you watched the most recent season of Project Runway, you’re aware that there is a huge fringe trend happening in fashion right now.  I am not quite bold enough to wear a full-on fringe dress ala Heidi Klum, but I love a bit of fringe on my scarves.  I made up this scarf project so I would have a warm and fashionable scarf to wear this winter.

How to Make a Fringed Flannel Scarf

Most flannel scarves feature fringe just on the two short ends of the scarf.  Instead of just that small amount of fringe, I wanted fringe all the way down the long side of the scarf.  It takes a little more work, but the results are so pretty!

Flannel Fringe

I used two coordinating flannel fabrics, but you could use two pieces of the same fabric or mix it up however you would like.

Plaid Fringed Scarf DIY

My new scarf is cozy and warm, just what I need for these chilly winter months.  Check out the full tutorial in the video below (where I also prove I am a huge dork —  as if you didn’t already know that).
