Dollar Store Snowflake Coasters

December 12, 2009 by madincrafts 12 Comments

I bought some sparkly snowflakes at the Dollar Tree yesterday with plans to make a beautiful wreath to enter into Dollar Store Craft‘s wreath contest.  But when I went to the craft store, they didn’t have the other materials I needed.  So disappointed.  It was going to be wintry and ethereal and lovely and now it only exists in my brain.  I don’t want to talk about it.

But, when life gives you lemons, make Dollar Store Snowflake Coasters, right?

To make Dollar Store Snowflake Coasters, you will need:
snowflake ornaments (pack of 6)
red felt
scissors
hot glue gun

It is really, really difficult to make these coasters.  I mean, just check out these three complicated steps.

Okay, I lied.  These coasters are embarassingly simple.  But look how pretty!

Cute! We've both got snowflakes on the brain. I just made snowflake hairbows with snowflakes from Dollar Tree. I'm making your coasters! I'm desperate for some coasters.

Those are so pretty… I like them more than a wreath anyway! 🙂

That's a great idea! I looked right at those snowflakes last night, too, but was so intent on what I actually went in there for I didn't give them a second thought.

Those are so cute! So easy and I love the red felt with the "icy" clear snowflake. I love simple ideas that look great. Thanks for posting these!
