I have one last new Dollar Tree craft supply that I am reviewing this week. It is the most mysterious of all the supplies I picked up. Keep reading to find out just what dollar store ceramic stickers are and if they are worth your money!
DO DOLLAR STORE CERAMIC STICKERS WORK?
DOLLAR TREE STICKERS
I found these ceramic stickers hanging with the scrapbook stickers and rub-on transfers in the craft aisle of Dollar Tree. My store had several different styles of the stickers all hanging from the same peg, so be sure to dig to find ones you like the best.

HOW DO YOU APPLY CRAFTER’S SQUARE CERAMIC STICKERS?
Well, the short answer to that question is: I don’t know.
The package of ceramic stickers did not include any directions or hints for how to use the stickers other than the small “Magic-On” wording on the label, so I had to wing it.
I started by wiping the dollar store mug down with rubbing alcohol to make sure the sticker would have the cleanest possible surface to which to adhere.
From there, I removed one sticker from the first package, centered it, and stuck it to the mug. I smoothed any trapped air bubbles out from the center of the sticker to the edges.
And… that was it. I cleaned the mug and stuck on a sticker. CRAFTING!
CAN YOU USE DOLLAR STORE CERAMIC STICKERS ON DARK MUGS?
I guessed that the stickers are meant to be used on white or light-colored ceramics since that is what is pictured in the packaging, but I thought I would give the stickers a chance on a black dollar store mug as well.
As you can see, the sticker works but it isn’t as vibrant as I am sure it would have been if I had placed it on a white mug. This sticker cracks me up. It’s such a non-commital inspirational quote. Let’s not go overboard with the positivity. Things aren’t terrible, and they aren’t great. It’s just okay.
ARE THE CERAMIC STICKERS DURABLE?
Again, these stickers are very mysterious since there was almost no information on the packaging. I took to the internet for answers but was not super successful. When researching on the Dollar Tree website, I did find this piece of information:
Crafter’s Square Water & Heat Resistant Stickers are ideal for personalizing any ceramic mug for yourself or to be given as gifts. These stickers are heat and water resistant and are perfect for creating one-of-a-kind gifts.
Water and heat resistant, you say? Into the dishwasher they go! I placed both mugs on the top shelf of my dishwasher and ran them through a regular cycle, completely expecting them to both come out ruined.
I was totally wrong! The It’s OK mug had a small air bubble under one edge of the sticker that I could easily smooth back out. The Llama Llove mug looked completely fine. The edge of the sticker did come up a bit when I ran my fingernail under it, but I was able to stick it back down immediately. Once the mugs were totally dry, the stickers have fully adhered to the mugs once again.
I tossed them both in the microwave for 30 seconds, and the gold band on the white mug immediately started sparking (OOPS!) so I took that one out and left the black one in. The black mug passed the microwave test with flying colors. I was pretty impressed.
I think in the future, I will either hand wash the mugs or protect them with a coat of Dishwasher-Safe Mod Podge before putting them in the dishwasher again. They handled one run very well, but I think multiple runs would eventually wear down the adhesive.
ARE THE CERAMIC STICKERS WORTH BUYING?
I was beyond pleasantly surprised by these stickers! Not only are they ridiculously easy to use (even without instructions), they are way more durable than I expected. For $1.25 you get 3-4 stickers that you can use to personalize mugs for yourself or to give as gifts.

I’m just curious if these ceramic stickers will work on non-ceramic mugs? I purchase these ceramic stickers from the Dollar Tree because my favorite mug (which is also the biggest mug I’ve ever owned), is just plain white and I’d love to give it a little makeover! But, when I got home, took the mug out of the cupboard and was about to try them out, I realized that I had never stopped to ponder the fact that my favorite mug ISNT EVEN CERAMIC!! What a “DERRR” moment! As far as I can tell, it’s some sort of really tough, thick molded plastic… It says ‘ aladdin. ‘ just like that on the side along the
bottom… Brand name? Anyway, did you happen to try these out on any non-ceramic mugs? I haven’t seen these stickers at my $ Tree in almost a year, so I’d hate to waste them… But, I guess it’s worth a try. Lmk on that and I’l let u know how it went if/when I hear back from you. Thanks!!

I haven’t tried them on plastic, but I would imagine they would still work.
