PRINTING AND USING THE GINGERBREAD PRINTABLE
After you have saved the printable to your computer, load your color printer with regular printer paper. The PDF includes the main house design and two sheets of house decorations.
After you have printed the PDFs, you can start adding color to the designs. Use crayons, colored pencils, paint, or other art supplies to customize the various portions of the gingerbread house. Then cut out the elements and glue them onto the house to build your gingerbread house.
Some of the decorative elements might be tricky for little hands to cut out. Allow them to cut around the decorations as best as they can. Then fill in the white area around the decorations with whatever color they used for the background of the gingerbread house. Then, when that element is glued onto the house, the background will blend right in!
USING THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE PRINTABLES FOR GIFT WRAP
You can turn these printable elements into personalized gift wrap so easily! Color the printables and cut out all of the decorations as well as the roof and the foundation of the house. Then glue those pieces in place onto a kraft paper gift bag. The brown bag will look like the gingerbread! You can either leave the bag just like that, or you can fold the top corners of the bag back along the roof lines of the house.
