This super simple Cricut project lets you create an awesome teacher vinyl mug for your teacher appreciation week or the last day of school.

WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE THE TEACHER MUG
Since this project is made with outdoor vinyl, you should be able to hand wash the mug. If you want the mug to be top-rack dishwasher safe, I recommend sealing the vinyl with a coat or two of dishwasher-safe Mod Podge as well.

HOW TO MAKE AN AWESOME TEACHER MUG
After you have saved the SVG to your device, upload that file into Cricut Design Space. Insert the SVG into a new canvas, and resize the design to fit your project.
When the design is resized, make sure all the elements are welded together. Load your Cricut machine with Smart Vinyl or add adhesive vinyl to a Cricut mat and insert that into the machine. Send the design to cut.
Carefully weed the excess vinyl from your design. If you resize the design to fit a small mug, you may not be able to weed out the negative space in some of the lettering in the words “awesome teacher.” Don’t worry about that, the design will still be legible. Apply a piece of transfer tape over the weeded design.
Clean off the mug with rubbing alcohol to remove any dust or grim, then position the vinyl on the mug. Carefully peel back the transfer tape. Smooth out any bubbles with your finger to ensure the vinyl fully adheres to the mug.
