MOTHER’S DAY HAND-PAINTED COFFEE MUG GIFT

Making a hand-painted mug doesn’t have to be difficult, complicated, or expensive.  These glass paint markers only cost a few bucks.  First, wipe the mug down with rubbing alcohol to clean the surface of dirt and grime.  Then, draw a design or write a saying on the mug.  If you mess up along the way, keep paper towel and rubbing alcohol on hand to erase the marker and start over.  When you are happy with your design let it dry for 4 hours.  Then cure the paint marker by placing it in a COOL oven.  Set temperature to 325°F, bake for 30 minutes, and then cool with oven door partially open.  Now you have a dishwasher-safe mug that you painted yourself!
