Do you love fall smells as much as I do? I always stock up on seasonal air fresheners this time of year because I want to keep our home smelling like autumn all year long. If you want your relaxing soak in the tub to have those same delicious scents, you can easily make homemade fall scented bath soaking salts.
FALL SCENTED BATH SOAKING SALTS
WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE SOAKING SALTS IN FALL SCENTS
When I make homemade spa products, I tend to use candy oil instead of essential oils just to save money. There is a huge range of flavors/scents to choose from so you can easily customize your homemade bath soak recipe. I also like to package up small jars of this recipe to give as a thoughtful handmade gift.

FALL BATH SOAKS RECIPE
First, you need to mix up the dry ingredients. I used a 4:1 ratio for this batch of soaking salts, so I used four parts of Epsom salt with one part baking soda. You can adjust the actual amounts based on the size of mason jars you will be using, but the ratio should stay the same. Then I picked out a fall Lorann candy oil for each of my three batches: Maple, Pear, and Vanilla Butternut. If you make a large batch of salt, you may need two oil vials for your salt. If you are making a small batch, you may not need the whole 1 dram vial. Add however much oil smells good to you!
The maple and vanilla butternut candy oils added a bit of color to the salts, but the pear oil is clear. I added a bit of green and yellow mica powders to that batch to turn it a pear green. This step is totally optional because it is just for looks.
HOW TO STORE HOMEMADE BATH SALTS
I packaged the soaking salts in tiny mason jars because mini mason jars are adorable. Lastly, I added a bit of glitter tape to the rim of the jar lid.
These make lovely favors for fall parties, showers, weddings, or as hostess gifts for Thanksgiving. You can find a huge range of candy oil flavors online so that you can scent your fall bath salts like bourbon, cinnamon, pecan, or caramel too.
It can be a good idea to add some labels to the jars if you are giving them as a gift. Be sure to let the recipient know to pour a small amount of the soaking salts to their bath water. The Epsom salts used in hot baths will help to soothe sore muscles while the fall scent helps with relaxation.
