Sometimes I feel a little guilty that some of my most visited posts relate to organization. I am not the most organized person you have ever met. I think that is why I am always on the lookout for ideas and products that will help me curb my messy habits! Since I am most disorganized when I am crafting (something about the creative process makes the tidy part of my brain shut down), I have made use of quite a few organizational solutions in my work room. I have shared my real-life work room storage with you before, but I thought I would also round up affiliate links to the products I use, in case you are in search of some solutions for your own work space.
These are all affiliate links, if you make a purchase (of anything on Amazon, not just these items) after clicking through, I will earn a small commission. Ads and affiliate links are the way I am able to keep this website running and to offer you free tutorials all year long. Thank you so much for supporting me and Mad in Crafts!
My most popular organization tutorial uses these wire storage cubes to create hanging paint storage. I also have several cubes set up as shelving units for bins of fabric, silk flowers, and yarn. Disclaimer: I wouldn’t trust these shelves to hold anything very heavy.
These photo boxes were the base for my spray painted storage boxes . I use these boxes for medium size supplies like jewelry supplies and paint markers.
MAGAZINE FILE FOLDERS – THREE RING BINDERS
Many people have switched to digital cookbooks and recipes, but I am still hanging on to my collection of cooking magazines. I used magazine files and binders to keep my cooking magazines organized.
I use these stackable wire shelves for smaller items like paper punches, dry adhesives and decorative tapes.
I love my rotating storage unit for tiny supplies like googly eyes, buttons, and sequins.
Plastic drawer units like these are perfect for supplies that need to stay flat. My mini drawer unit holds all my specialty paintbrushes and foam pouncers.
My larger unit holds all my cardstock and scrapbook paper.
I found that a shoe organizer like this is perfect to corral smaller cans of paint and stains.
PEGBOARD – PEGBOARD ACCESSORIES
My big pegboard is command central in my work room. I have all my most-often used tools (glue gun, scissors, craft knives, etc.) displayed so they are always within arm’s reach.
