This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Cricut. All opinions are 100% mine.
I’ve seen a lot of discussions online about whether buying a Cricut is worth the money, and, if so, which machine should you buy. You probably aren’t surprised to hear me say that, if you love to craft, Cricut machines are absolutely worth the money.
I don’t have my Cricut Joy yet, (but it’s coming!) so today I thought I would give you some evidence for why I think the Cricut Maker is a great purchase. It is the priciest of the Cricut machines, but it is also a WORKHORSE. There are so many amazing crafts you can make with a Cricut Maker.
9 COLORFUL CRAFTS YOU CAN MAKE WITH A CRICUT MAKER
PARTY HATS (& OTHER PARTY SUPPLIES)
Just last month I shared an entire week’s worth of party projects — all of which I made with my trusty Cricut! I think the party hats may have been my favorite project of the week. I used pretty scrapbook paper and turned it into coordinating colorful hats.
ACRYLIC FAVOR BOXES
One of the very first projects I tackled with my Cricut Maker was to try making favor boxes out of acrylic. None of the other Cricut machines handle cutting and scoring acrylic like the Maker. It opens up a whole new range of craft possibilities!
FOIL IRON-ON POUCH
Of course, I love cutting vinyl with my Maker as well. I used my machine to cut some beautiful purple foil iron-on vinyl, and then I used my EasyPress to add it to a zipper pouch. I love how easy personalization is with my Maker.
LAYERED FLORAL CARD
I made a beautiful three-dimensional flower embellishment for a Mother’s Day card by cutting colored cardstock with my Maker. I found this gorgeous cut file in Design Space, and then customized the colors to suit my card.
INFUSIBLE INK TEE
I got just as caught up in the Infusible Ink craze as everyone else! I used my Maker to cut a simple flower design from a sheet of Infusible Ink, then used my EasyPress to transfer it onto a shirt for my daughter. The vibrancy of the colors still amaze me!
GEOMETRIC PINEAPPLE
I love how the scoring wheels allow me to create crisp fold lines on projects like this geometric pineapple. The Maker’s Adaptive Tool System allows for specialty tools like my scoring wheels, the knife blade, and more!
PERSONALIZED NEON KOOZIES
Did you know you can iron HTV vinyl onto neoprene? That means you can create completely custom koozies with your Cricut and an iron or your EasyPress. Your summer barbecues will never be the same!
FAUX SUCCULENT ARRANGEMENT
Succulents are super hard to kill, but I still manage to do it. To make sure I always have at least a little green in my craft room, I used my Maker to create a few paper succulents. This arrangement would also make a thoughtful Mother’s Day or teacher appreciation gift!
FLOWER-TOPPED GIFT BOXES
Gift wrap can get pricy, so why not make your own! I made colorful gift boxes out of scrapbook paper. A few cuts and scores on my Maker, and I had the building blocks for these pretty boxes!
So, tell me! Has seeing all the crafts you can make with a Cricut Maker changed your mind about buying a Cricut machine. Let me know in the comments!
