My last sparkly dollar store ornament tutorial this week is made from two classic craft supplies: hot glue and sequins! I was inspired by this tutorial from the amazing Aunt Peaches. I used this technique to make a sequin ornament for the top of my tree, but you could make smaller ornaments in any shape you would like.
I am thrilled to be one of the hosts for this month’s round of Craft Lightning! Thirty-nine bloggers will be sharing lightning fast holiday projects, while Angie, Carolina and I each add five of our own new tutorials. Check out all the projects from Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, and Day 4!
Once you get the hang of this easy ornament tutorial, you will want to make dozens of new ornaments. Watch this short video to see how to make them.
I usually share two new videos on my YouTube channel each week, but this week is special. I will be sharing a brand new video tutorial every weekday this week! If you aren’t subscribed to my channel, please hop over and click subscribe!
I made my ornament on top of freezer paper, which was a mistake. I should have used waxed paper or a silicone mat, so the hot glue peeled off cleanly. It all worked out in the end, but you will have more success if you do as I say and not as I did. I hope you liked all my quick, glittery dollar store ornament tutorial this week. I had a ton of fun making them! If you make any of your own, please tag me on social media so I can see!
