I am a big fan of themed party foods, especially if they have punny names. This refreshing red, white and bleu salad is great for summer picnics, and it is so easy to make. With just three ingredients and a few minutes of prep time, you can have adorable mini mason jar salads for the 4th of July or any summer cookout.
All you need to make these cute mini mason jar salad is watermelon, bleu cheese, and white wine vinegar. Begin by cutting the melon into small cubes, then fill each jar to the neck with cut watermelon. Add a sprinkle of vinegar to each jar, then top with a sprinkle of bleu cheese. You can serve immediately, but the flavor will be even better if you refrigerate the salad for at least 30 minutes before serving.
These mini salads also travel well, since the jars come with lids. And how perfect is the star embossed on the jar and lid for summer cookouts! These are the mini mason jars I used (affiliate). I have a feeling I will be using these mini jars a lot this summer!
