Most school-aged kids aren’t used to staying up until midnight, so it can be tricky to keep them occupied in the hours before the New Year begins. I love the idea of providing them with a new activity to look forward to as the clock strikes a new hour. I created these printable labels for NYE countdown bags so you can easily add this tradition to your family’s New Year’s Eve celebrations!

HOW TO USE THE PRINTABLE COUNTDOWN BAG LABELS
After saving the PDF to your computer, print the labels off using a color printer. You can either print them on standard printer paper or on sticker paper. After the sheets have been printed, cut them apart with scissors or a paper trimmer.
Apply one label to each of 8 paper bags. If you printed the labels on sticker paper, you can adhere them right to the bag. If you printed on standard paper, you could use washi tape or a clothespin to attach the labels to the bags.
Finally, fill each of the bags with toys, prizes, or activities that your kids will enjoy. As the clock strikes each new hour on New Year’s Eve, your kids can open the next gift bag. The labels are a fun way to reinforce your children’s ability to read analog clocks too!
