I went to high school in the late 90s, so I have a soft spot for all of the pop culture and trends from the decade. I designed this 90s themed scattergories game so all my fellow 90s kids can relive their glory days! See how well you and your friends remember the decade before Y2K.

HOW TO PLAY PRINTABLE SCATTERGORIES AT HOME
My scattergories sheets allow you to have at least 4 rounds of gameplay. Print enough of the 2-page PDFs for each player to have a set. Make sure everyone also has a pen or pencil.
After you have printed enough game sheets for all the players, you will need to choose a letter for the first round of play. You should do this before looking at the categories on the game sheet. You can even use an online letter randomizer to pick the letter for you!
Once you have a letter, set a timer for 3-5 minutes. Each player should try to remember a person, place, or thing that starts with the letter you picked and that fits each category for that round. For example, if you chose the letter G for the round, “grunge” would fit as an answer for the 90s trend category.
After the timer goes off, go category by category having each player give his or her answer. If you wrote down an answer that no one else thought of, you get a point. If any other player duplicates your answer, no points are given. Having correct, and unique, answers is the key to winning.
If you have a multi-word answer and all the words begin with that round’s letter (“Golden Grahams” as a 90s cereal that starts with G, let’s say), that answer would be worth two points — as long as no one else answered Golden Grahams as well.
Count up your points for the round and write that number at the top of the round. The player with the most points after a few rounds of play is the winner!
