Tie Dye Cloth Napkins by How to Nest for Less
This summer has seen a resurgence of tie dyed looks in home décor and fashion, but they aren’t all the twist and rubber band shirts you remember from your childhood. The tie dye trend allows for easy creation of ombre looks (still hugely popular) combined with the new popularity of soft watercolor patterns, all with a DIY twist.
Incorporating the new tie dye trend into your home or wardrobe is much easier than some of this summer’s other fads (I am looking at you, Neon). I made my daughter’s Fairy Garden Watercolor Curtains using a tie dye kit, and I think the soft hand-painted look of them is pretty timeless.
If you are looking for a quick and comprehensive tie dye resource, I Love to Create has put together a FREE eBook with 18 full-length tie dye tutorials. Some of the tutorials are for classic tie dye looks, and some of them cross over into current home décor trends.
I volunteered at the I Love to Create booth at the Michigan International Women’s Show earlier this year, and we got to wear these fun tie dye aprons made from t-shirts. You can find the tutorial to make your own apron in the ebook!
