Play dough is a great gift to give in an Easter basket because it’s fun, colorful, and inexpensive! I bought my four containers at the dollar store, but there are also great recipes all over the internet for cooking up a batch of your own. Either way you choose to go, the play dough will look more festive packed up with tags and ribbon.
To decorate play dough containers for an Easter basket, you will need:
ribbons in colors that match the dough
scissors
hole punch
white paper
I used the Cupcake and Topiary PSA stamp packs with the Grapefruit Pink, Plum Purple, Poppy Orange, and Lime Green inks to create some quick and easy tags for these play dough containers. I cut the stamped images out of white paper and glued them to brightly colored scrapbook paper with glue dots. I glued some to the top of the lids, and tied the rest on with coordinating ribbon. In just a few minutes, I had some very festive gifts to place in my kids’ Easter baskets!
