Time for another easy DIY Easter gift to add to a basket on Easter morning. These Easter hair clips can be made in just a few minutes with easy to find supplies. Plus, they fit right in a plastic Easter egg, so you can fill fewer of those eggs with jelly beans!
To make Easter Hair Clips, you will need:
large buttons
scissors
paper
I decided to use pink grosgrain ribbon for the hair clips. I love Aleene’s Fast Grab glue for holding together quick projects like this! (Those clips were left over from my Dollar Store Embellished Pillow project!)
Just tuck the ends of the ribbon under the underside of the clip and glue in place.
Next, I stamped two Easter eggs from the Topiary stamp pack and PSA’s Grapefruit Pink ink and used my circle cutter to cut them into circles slightly smaller than the diameter of my buttons. I used Sparkle Mod Podge to adhere the paper to the buttons and give them a bit of glitter.
After the Mod Podged dried I used more of the Aleene’s Fast Grab to glue the buttons to the hair clips. Be sure to position the images on the buttons so that you have a left hair clip and a right hair clip. You don’t want your little girl to have to wear an upside-down egg on one side of her ‘do.
Slip the clips into a plastic egg and you have created a quick gift for a little girl’s Easter basket. Find more Easter basket gift ideas below!
