Gimme all the coffee. I start each day with at least two cups of the stuff, otherwise there is no way my brain is going to cooperate for a day of work. As I get older, I am trying to be smart about fueling my body with nutritional foods, so I realize I am going to need more than just coffee for breakfast. I know that if I am going to get through a day of blog posts, video editing, and designing without losing my steam around 11 AM, I am going to need more than just coffee to keep me going. The quickest and easiest way I have found to fuel myself up with protein is to eat some protein-rich Greek yogurt.
I’ve tried and enjoyed several different styles of Greek yogurt, but I am huge fan of the split cup varieties. I like being able to stir the fruit into the yogurt myself. I may be too busy to cook my own breakfast but if I am stirring my own yogurt, that’s the pretty much the same thing, right?
FAGE Total Split Cup comes in three fat varieties, so you can choose the one that fits you best. I prefer the 0% fat FAGE yogurt to get all the protein without the fat. 13 grams of protein to be exact; that’s more than in two eggs! Some fruit yogurts have a ton of added sugar, but FAGE only has 11 grams per serving. We’re talking rich in protein, not in sugar. If you are counting calories or points, you know those numbers are great.
I think the Blueberry Acai is my favorite split cup flavor so far, but they have plenty of different varieties from which to choose. Let me know what your favorite flavor is in the comments!
