There’s a lot of bad stuff going on the world right now, but at least there are still tacos, right? If you are feeling stressed or unhappy, make something silly. Put a little happiness into the world that wasn’t there before. Making a washi tape frame won’t solve all the world’s problems, but it might make you feel just a little bit better.
I found a set of adorable junk food themed washi tape at Michael’s, during the same trip I found the tapes I used for my mermaid make-up brushes. They have been sitting in my craft room waiting for the perfect project, but I got sick of waiting for the perfect project to come along.
Instead, I covered a cheap craft frame with the tapes, and smeared a whole bunch of sparkly Mod Podge over it. Because I felt like it.
Finally, I made up a goofy printable to put in the frame, and, wouldn’t you know, I felt a little bit happier. For about 20 minutes, I didn’t think about politics or world events or natural disasters. I just stuck tape on a thing and covered it with glitter.
I suggest you do the same.
