Inspiration from Bronner’s: The World’s Largest Christmas Store

Bronner’s is the world’s largest Christmas store, and it is packed full of fun displays, innovative products, and Christmas eye candy as far as you can see.  Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland is about a 20 minute drive from my house, so I have the chance to visit just about whenever I want. When my mom and I took a spontaneous trip earlier this month, I brought along my camera to share the Christmas inspiration with you.

As I was taking pictures there, I kept trying different angles and twisting myself into pretzels to take pictures without a bunch of “background noise.”  It wasn’t going to happen.  I eventually gave into the fact that Bronner’s was just going to Christmas photobomb every shot I took.  And that’s pretty awesome.

I will be your personal guide to some of the highlights of our trip to Bronner’s.  There is so much more to see than I can show you in these pictures.  If you are planning a trip to Michigan, you should definitely take the time to spend a day or two here!

Bronner’s holds more ornaments than you have ever seen in your life.  This is just one of the half-dozen displays of snowflake ornaments, available in every size and color.

These Mount St. Helens ornaments are pricier than many of Bronner’s ornaments, but for good reason.  Each ornament is hand-blown and uses glass that contains ash from Mount St. Helens.

Bronner’s will also personalize your ornaments at no extra cost.  If you want a name ornament for every member of your family (a tradition in our family), need a wedding date added to an “Our 1st Christmas” ornament, or just about anything else you can imagine, the Bronner’s staff will add it with a special paint pen – all while you wait.  When we were in store that day, the artists who hand-paint your personalized message were also working (they aren’t always).  Hand-painted personalization is also free!

Each time I visit Bronner’s there are new products that catch my eye.  Here are some items I thought were extra Christmas-tastic.

I was really intrigued by these teensy tiny LED lights.  The cords would be practically invisible on a tree or in a wreath.  But at $36.99 per string, they are pretty spendy.

This wall tree is perfect for small spaces!  It’s a half of a tree that hangs on your wall so you can still decorate without giving up so much square footage!  I  would buy one and name it Eric.  Eric, the Half a Tree.

This cute plastic Frosty head fits over your outdoor lamp post!  There are four different versions to choose from, so you can decorate year-round.

When our family is in the market for a new tree, I am going to look for one like these.  They are called Crystal Needle trees, and the needles have shiny surfaces that reflect the lights beautifully.   It adds so much sparkle to the tree!

Bronner’s is full of inspiration for new and unique Christmas decorations.  These are the ideas I thought were DIY-able.

You would need several wreaths in a variety of dimensions to make this tree, but I think it would be a very cool décor element.  You could even use yarn-wrapped wreaths or other non-greenery wreaths for a more modern look.

Who says you have to limit yourself to one theme per tree?  Bronner’s places trees between aisles and decorates one side in one theme, and the other side in a second theme!  Can you find the Christmas pickle on that tree?

Why not turn the whole idea of a traditional tree upside down?!   Suspend a tabletop-sized tree from the ceiling and decorate it for a conversation-starting Christmas chandelier.
