You are probably sick of me telling you over and over again about my antagonistic relationship with Nature. I would much rather hang out in an air conditioned living room than in a lawn chair outside. My home is my safe place, and uninvited guests are not welcome.
I don’t mean friends who drop in unexpectedly. I love that. I mean critters. Bugs. Rodents. No thank you please.
I don’t have phobias about critters, not in the way some people are afraid of them. And, if my husband isn’t home, I have no problem squashing, smooshing, or shooing insects. But, I have one rule in respect to pests: If I am in your house (in other words, outside), you get to live. If you are in my house, stand your ground laws go into effect.
That’s why when, earlier this summer, we had signs of critters in the house, I called in an expert. I knew there was a mouse who had moved in, but I didn’t know that we were also housing ants and spiders. Our basement storage rooms were veritable boarding houses for spiders and their eggs. Not acceptable.
My husband and father-in-law spent a day cleaning and using the shop-vac all over the basement, evicting all the deadbeat tenants. Now that we have dealt with their living spaces, I just have to kill the individual bugs as I see them.
Hot Shot® Ant & Roach Killer works on cockroaches, ants, carpenter ants, crickets, firebrats, fleas, silverfish and spiders INDOORS. You can kill bugs on site without fear of harming your pets or kids. Once the spray has dried, it is safe to be around. Just don’t spray it on surfaces that come into direct contact with food (like kitchen counters).
Now I can go back to feeling at home inside my house and keep Nature outside where it belongs.
Hot Shot® Insecticide is holding a contest on their facebook page. Weigh in on who actually does the bug-removal in your home, and you could win! I want to know too: Do you kill your own bugs or do you make someone else do it for you?
