My dad worked on a paint crew in college, so he has been sharing pearls of painting wisdom as we work our way through the house (as well as critiquing my work). It’s a good thing we are both perfectionists; I think we would drive any one else crazy.
Do you think you are out of paint? You would be surprised how much excess paint is hiding in your roller cover!
Use a putty knife to scrape down your roller before you rinse it. Rest the roller on the edge of the paint can and scrape down the sides like you are cutting corn off the cob. You can save yourself a few ounces of paint each time you use a roller!

Or you could just use the curved part of the paint stirrer, which is what it's for…double duh.
