If you were here yesterday, you saw the first of this week’s dollar store phone case challenge — the sequined earbud holding case. Today I am going to show you the incredibly easy way to add pretty copper foil to your phone case.
I picked up the phone case at Dollar Tree, and I was given the Deco Foil products when I attended SNAP! Conference last April. You can buy the foil and adhesives at the craft store or online. I will include links at the end of the post.
The super cool thing about this Deco Foil is that it will stick anywhere you apply the adhesive, but it is much easier to work with than gold leaf. Plus, it works on a wide variety of surfaces. All I did was color on the back of the case with the adhesive pen, let the glue sit for 30 seconds to get tacky, and then place the foil sheets on top of the adhesive. I rubbed the foil a bit with my finger so that it would stick, and then pulled the foil sheet back to reveal the transferred foil.
Now that I have played with this foil a little bit, I want to try out all of the different varieties (especially the watercolor foils).
I still have one more phone case projects to share with you this week, so come back tomorrow to check it out! Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel, if you haven’t already. I release new videos twice a week!
