I’ve been gone. For a while. Sorry ’bout that.
Seriously, I know I just dropped off the face of Bloggerville without so much as a word of explanation, and I am really sorry if I worried any of you! I got quite a few concerned comments and emails, and it meant a lot to me that you missed little, old me. But it was kind of a vicious circle, Catch-22 type situation because I wanted to tell you what was going on, but I wanted to wait to tell you, but I couldn’t post ANYTHING without really wanting to tell you, so I didn’t write anything at all, but that made the fact that I was waiting to tell you a bigger deal, and… you see my problem.
What? You don’t see my problem? You can’t decipher any of my ramblings into coherent thoughts?
Oh, dear. Maybe I shouldn’t have taken such a long break from writing. I’m off my game.
Here, maybe instead of me telling you, you can guess.
The reason I haven’t posted in over a month is because, instead of being creative and crafty, my main skill set has been comprised of:
1) napping,
2) talking myself out of being sick,
3) being able to smell things that are far away, and
4) napping.
In other words, you should expect another Mad in Crafts hiatus at the end of October since mommies of newborns don’t get a lot of craft time. 😀
I can’t promise that there will be a sudden of influx of posts and ideas now that I am back. I would love to tell you I have a backlog of projects waiting to be posted from the past month, but I honestly have not crafted a lick since February. BUT there will be a new addition to the blog that should up the excitement factor around here.
From now on (God-willing and the creek don’t rise), Mondays will be MAD SKILLS linky party day!
Every Monday, you can link up a project, new or old, to the linky party to share with other readers. The only rule for the party is that the post MUST BE A TUTORIAL. What good is an idea sharing party, if other people can’t rip-off your awesome ideas, right? The tutorial can be written, pictorial, or a combination of the two, but it should be a project or a process that another crafter would be able to replicate. Any Mad Skill level, from novice to advanced, is welcome!
So, this Monday, pop back over, grab a party button, and link up a tutorial! Some of your tutes could end up as my Friday Favorites at the end of the week!
Okie doke, I should probably wrap this post up since trying to ignore the smell of the BBQ pork from the kitchen is going to take up most of my brain power. See you Monday!
