I know Ugly Sweater parties are reaching the point of mass saturation, but somehow I had never been to one. My cousin and I got together to throw a Christmas party at her house and we encouraged people to wear ugly sweaters and other cheesy holiday accessories. To add to the festivities, I offered to make some ugly sweater party worthy photo props. Duck Brand® makes a wide variety of holiday tape designs, which were perfect for making quick photo props!
I mixed the snowman, penguin, candy, and bow patterns not caring if the patterns matched or the colors clashed. It was an Ugly Sweater Party after all! You can use those same tape patterns to Duck the Halls this year!
Begin by sketching out your photo prop shapes on a piece of posterboard. Be sure to make them big enough to show up in the photos.
Cut around each shape.
Stick Duck Brand® tape to the side of the posterboard that does NOT have the drawing — otherwise you won’t know where to cut.
Cut out the shape and add a craft stick with another small piece of duck tape. Repeat the process with all the other shapes.
Have fun mixing and matching the props for silly pictures at your Ugly Sweater Party! Be sure to pin this project so you can find it later. And, if you create some props of your own, pin them with the tag #DucktheHalls so I can find it later!
