Cork boards are commonplace in work spaces, but their plain brown color makes them all function and no form. I wanted to add a little razzle dazzle to my craft room’s cork board, so I busted out the glitter and got to work!
To make a Glittered Cork Board, you will need:
Cork Board
painter’s tape
Krylon Glitter Blast
My mom brought over this framed cork board thinking I could put it to good use. I love unexpected freebies!
I saw this Glittered Memo Board by Madigan Made on Mod Podge Rocks! and pinned it immediately. I wanted to do something similar in my craft room.
I started by taping off diagonal stripes on my new-to-me corkboard and frame.
Krylon Glitter Blast 5.75oz Silver Flash
I won the entire line of Krylon Glitter Blast paints on one of Mark Montano’s Glitter Blast giveaways, and I knew this would be the perfect time to try it out.
I brought the cork board outside and gave it a coat of the spray glitter. Man, is that stuff intense! A pure spray of glittery goodness!
After the spray dried, I brought it up to my craft room and hung it on my closet doors. The cork board is great for inspirational images, fun flair, and whatever other goodies that don’t have a home.
