I have eaten at In-N-Out exactly once in my life, but it made an impression. We don’t have In-N-Out franchises in Michigan so up until now, I have had to rely on my imperfect memory of what their sauce (or “spread”) tastes like. With this copycat In-N-Out sauce recipe, I can add that delicious flavor to home grilled burgers or tasty french fries whenever I want!

WHAT IS IN-N-OUT SAUCE?
Although In-N-Out’s sauce is similar to Thousand Island dressing, it is not the same. This sauce is a bit thinner than Thousand Island allowing you to drizzle it over burgers and fries. In-N-Out sauce also has less of a vinegar tang than the dressing.

WAYS TO USE THIS IN-N-OUT SAUCE RECIPE
Because this sauce has so many uses, you should make it a staple for all your summer grilling. To replicate a delicious In-N-Out burger at home, grill a fresh beef patty and put it on a toasted bun with tomato, lettuce, and a dollop of the sauce. Add a slice of American cheese to make it a cheeseburger.
You can make a famous burger from their “secret” menu. An “animal-style” In-N-Out burger includes all those same traditional burger toppings but adds pickles, grilled onions, and extra sauce.
Slather this In-N-Out burger spread on burgers, hot dogs, chicken, and sandwiches. Or use it as a dipping sauce for fries, chicken tenders, or onion rings
