USING A GROCERY STORE SCAVENGER HUNT
Begin by printing the scavenger hunt off using a color printer. Regular printer paper is totally fine for this printable. Bring the printable along with you on your next trip to the grocery store or farmers’ market.
Before you leave, do a little research about fruits and vegetables. Work on colors, shapes, and learning about how different fruits and vegetables grow.
If you have younger kids it’s a good idea to work together on the scavenger hunt. You can talk about the different produce you see and use it as a learning opportunity. If you have older kids, you can give each family member their own copy of the hunt to fill out themselves. Set a time limit and see how many of the items you can find.
Finally, be sure to buy some delicious fruits and veggies to bring them home to eat!
