I am terrible at math, and my fraction skills are especially embarrassing. There have been times when I have made a recipe as written, even though it was entirely too big, just because I couldn’t do the math to halve it. That is why I made these handy printable charts that will teach you how to halve a recipe at a glance.
HOW TO HALVE A RECIPE
HOW TO PRINT THE RECIPE CONVERSION CHARTS
Begin by saving the PDFs to your computer. You can find them in the Cleaning and Organizing section of my Freebie Gallery.
Be sure to remember where you saved the PDFs so you can find them again later! Since the charts will be exposed to all the heat and moisture of your kitchen, I recommend printing the conversion chart onto high-quality printer paper or cardstock. I like to use the best quality setting on my printer so that the chart prints crisply.
Once you have the charts printed, you can frame them, clip them to a clipboard, or file them in a binder for quick reference whenever you need to cut a recipe down.
